With the temperature well into the 30's again today I left it until early evening for a stroll with the dog down to the top hide at La Mata. We had a productive couple of hours starting with the
Osprey from yesterday. Other birds of prey included
Marsh Harrier (pair),
Kestrel (pair) and a female
Sparrowhawk. Heading for home as the sun was setting we added
Iberian Grey Shrike,
Wryneck,
Hoopoe and
Whinchat. To round the day off amongst the many
Common Swift feeding over the reedbeds were 6
Pallid Swift.
