After a busy week or more with work, I finally managed to get out with the camera for a couple of hours today. I visited Deer Park Mere which is about which is part of the Cholmondeley Estate in Cheshire. The lake itself held good numbers of wildfowl including a single red-head Smew, 14 Goldeneye, 12 Wigeon, numerous Tufted Duck and 2 Teal. Some Gulls were loafing around on the grass at the top side of the lake, including the above Common Gull.
I spent about 15 minutes in the hide after my walk recording all the usual suspects and of note, a minimum of 6 Marsh Tit. Posts should hopefully become a little more frequent now and a trip to Ireland in 10 days will hopefully provide some interesting reading!
