Guadalentin Valley

An early start this morning out to the Guadalentin Valley in the hope of seeing our first Bee-eater and/or Roller of the year.  Today the temperature averaged around 22 degrees and there was light/no wind.

We were not disappointed recording 12 Bee-eater and 4 Roller, along with a flock of 50+ Tree Sparrow, Little Owl (3), Collared Pratincole (1), Black-bellied Sandgrouse (4 sightings of pairs), Quail, Golden Eagle (1 adult & 2 Juv), Ringed Plover, Green Sandpiper, Black-winged Stilt, Red-legged Partridge, Woodchat Shrike, Iberian Grey Shrike, Marsh Harrier, Kestrel (3), Little Bustard (3), Great Spotted Cuckoo, Swallow, Red-rumped Swallow, Sand Martin, House Martin, Common Swift, Pallid Swift, Stone Curlew (7), Spectacled Warbler, Subalpine Warbler, Dartford Warbler, Calandra Lark, Crested Lark, Thekla Lark, Short-toed Lark, Lesser Short-toed Lark.
